FAQ

How does ordering work?
Every two weeks a new menu opens for pre-order. The ordering window runs Sunday to Saturday (6 days) and closes Saturday evening — or earlier if we sell out. Food is picked up fresh the following Wednesday.
When and where is pickup?
Pick-ups are on Wednesdays following the ordering period from 3:30 - 6:00 PM. Please pick-up your order at the address provided in your order confirmation email.
How do I eat Korean food?
Rice is the main component of Korean food. Everyone gets a serving of rice. The main dish and banchan are made with stronger flavors to elevate the plain rice. So, we suggest you try the different banchan with rice and find new pairings and combinations you enjoy your rice with.
How does "by the pound" work?
Each dish is priced per ½ lb, and the quantity counts half-pounds — quantity 3 = 1.5 lb. Mix and match as much or little of each dish as you like.

This ordering system is best for big family meals or meal-prep needs of the week. It does NOT include rice. Please order rice separately according to the number of people eating or servings you need.

Are the meals fresh or frozen?
All meals are freshly prepared the day of pick-up. We chill the food to 41F to keep food safe during transport and pick-up. We do not use preservatives or freeze meals. When you pick-up your food, it is ready for you to heat up for consumption or keep in the fridge for future meals.
What if something sells out?
Each dish is made in a limited batch, so items can sell out before the deadline — when it's gone, it's gone until that menu returns. Join the email list for the menu-drop announcement to order early.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Yes — cancellation and full refund any time before the ordering window closes (Saturday 4pm). After that, orders can't be canceled. Full details in our cancellation & refund policy.
What if I can't pickup on time?

Contact us before Wednesday and we'll try to arrange something. Please email info@eatbaphouse.com and let us know when you will be able to pick-up your order. We will do our best to accommodate within 30 minutes of closing, especially if it is an emergency. The sooner you let us know, the better we can serve you.

Unclaimed orders by the end of pickup (6 PM) will not be refunded and will be donated to one of the families Bap House supports.
How are you accommodating food allergies/sensitivities?
All allergens and ingredients are listed in the food descriptions of each banchan. There are some dishes that can be made gluten free. However, as we are just beginning the business and there are many details to adjust to, we will stick to the recipe/ingredients we are familiar with at this time. In the future, once we have settled and feel more confident, we will start introducing gluten free options. Please note that we are cooking in a shared kitchen and no matter how hard we try, cross-contact of allergens can occur.
How long do the meals last?
Meals stay fresh for up to 5 days in the refrigerator when kept sealed. If you are not going to consume it all at once, please heat up only the portion you will eat. Repeated heat up and cool down will reduce the quality of the food.
What is the best way to heat up the meals?

For Dosirak: remove the lid and the cold banchan/salad in the aluminum cup before microwaving the food in its container for 2 minutes.

Microwave: heat for 2 minutes, then mix the food up, and finish heating up  for another minute or two.

Stovetop: heat up a pan on medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil, and stir fry the food for 5-7 minutes or until hot.

Cold banchan/salads: Enjoy directly without heating.
